BENGAL™ System is a spinal implant made of radiolucent carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP), a material that has a modulus of elasticity approximating that of cortical bone. The result is an implant that meets the structural requirements of anterior column support, while optimizing the fusion environment through an open, load-sharing design. Dr. Lauryssen is a co-developer of the BENGEL CAGE, and is the United States co-principle investigator of the FDA trial of the BENGEL INTERBODY DEVICE. The only device that has undergone an FDA trials for use as an interbody device use in the cervical spine.

The MOUNTAINEER™ Occipito-Cervico-Thoracic Spinal System offers a comprehensive solution for rigid posterior fixation of the occipito-cervico-thoracic regions of the spine.  

 

This unique system combines simplicity and versatility allowing the surgeon to design the construct based on intraoperative developments and individual patient anatomy - not the constraints of the implant system. Dr. Lauryssen is a co-developer of the MOUNTAINEER POSTERIOR CERVICAL SYSTEM, used for trauma, infections, cancer and degenerative conditions affecting the cervical spine and cranicervical region.

 

In addition, Dr. Lauryssen has developed a unique device to safely place instrumentation in the upper cervical spine

The MOUNTAINEER™ Occipito-Cervico-Thoracic Spinal System

The LEOPARD™ System is made of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) material that has a modulus of elasticity approximating that of cortical bone.

The LEOPARD System meets the structural requirements of anterior column support while optimizing the fusion environment through an open, load-sharing design. Dr. Lauryssen is a co-developer of the LEOPARD CAGE, used in lumbar fusion procedures.​​

The LEOPARD™ System

SELECTIVE RETENTION™ Technology harnesses bone marrow, the osteogenic component of autograft, to populate a graft material with a 3-4 fold increase in osteoprogenitor cells through a minimally invasive approach. 

 

Dr. Lauryssen is a co-developer of the CELLECT™ SELECTIVE RETENTION™ Device and is a co-investigator in he FDA trial utilizing stem cells to effect a fusion, in a minimally invasive manor.

 

This is the only stem cell technology developed to achieve fusions for degenerative disease or traumatic conditions affecting the entire spine.

The SLIM-LOC™ Anterior Cervical Plate System is a semi-rigid system intended for anterior cervical intervertebral body fixation.

 

The SLIM-LOC System is based on a comprehensive, clinically proven design, modified by current market technology.

The SLIM-LOC™ Anterior Cervical Plate System

The UNIPLATE™ Anterior Cervical Plate System is a simplified system for a simple one or two level Anterior Cervical Procedure.

The system was designed to meet the needs of surgeons who like the assurance provided by the plate after a cervical fusion procedure and at the same time believe that traditional two-screw / vertebral body plate is overkill. 

 

Dr. Lauryssen is a developer of the MINIMALLY INVASIVE CERVICAL PLATING SYSTEM for trauma, infections, cancer and degenerative conditions affecting the cervical spine.​​

Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) - Viper™ is a cutting edge percutaneous fixation system with intuitive instrumentation that is fast, designed to minimize muscle trauma and requires only two skin incisions.

Dr. Lauryssen is a co-developer of the MINIMALLY INVASIVE PERCUTANEOUS LUMBAR SYSTEM for trauma, infections, cancer and degenerative conditions affecting the lumbar spine.​

Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) - Viper™

Dr. Lauryssen is a co-developer of the OPTIMESH MINIMALLY INVASIVE PERCUTANEOUS LUMBAR SYSTEM for degenerative conditions affecting the lumbar spine.

 

He is also the United States priciple investigator of an FDA approved clinical trials for lumbar fusions. In addition, Dr. Lauryssen is a co-developer of the OPTIMESH MINIMALLY INVASIVE PERCUTANEOUS SYSTEM for osteoporotic compression fractures affecting the thoratic and lumbar spine.

This system is unique in that it incorporates either bone cement or bone and stem cells to biologicaly treat vertibral fractures.

Geo Cage - These unique titanium implants have a geometric design which provides very high strength with a minimum amount of metal in the implant.
